Event Details:

ACM's first General Body Meeting of the year is this Thursday evening. We've got lots of stuff on the table this quarter. On the agenda are two cool, new student-run projects that you can join, more information about the ACM ICPC Mock Competition in which you can win up to $250 in cash, details about upcoming industry events with companies such as Microsoft, InfoSys and IBM, and a guest speaker from UCLA's Center for Embedded Network Sensing (CENS) who will talk about research opportunities and going to grad school.

And of course, no ACM event is complete without food and prizes, so make sure you stop by. :)

Event Details:

The "Microsoft Unplugged" Tech Fest is a new event this year, co-hosted by Microsoft and ACM at UCLA. This is a unique opportunity for students to get a glimpse into some of the latest and greatest technology in the works at Microsoft. Representatives from the company will be showcasing demos of various products and will be there to answer questions.

Product groups include Core Media Technologies, DirectX, Smart Personal Objects Technology (SPOT), Mobile & Embedded Devices, Visio, Microsoft TV, Customer Relationship Management, Game Technology Group, and Avalon.

Students interested in applying for summer internships and full-time jobs will also have the opportunity to speak to recruiters and submit their resumes in person.
