Cal Poly Pomona will be hosting the 12th annual Information Technology Competition on May 3, 2008. Registration will be open until April 12, and late registration will be next week ($5 more per person). Cases will be sent out to teams on April 19 (except for forensics) and the event will take place on May 3.
There are 4 areas to compete in:
1. Business Systems Analysis
2. Web Application Development
3. Computer Forensics
4. Telecommunications & Networking
Each area has a first, second, and third prize of $1000, $500, and $250. ITC is also a great opportunity for students to network with industry professionals.
Yahoo SearchMonkey Programming Competition / Workshop
Join ACM for a night of coding, prizes, food, and fun with Yahoo.
Engineers from Yahoo will be on campus to speak about Yahoo's newly introduced reworked search engine. More about the event below.
Note: Please bring your laptop to participate in the event. (Not required for participation, but it would greatly assist.)

SearchMonkey Developer Challenge
To celebrate the kick-off of SearchMonkey, we’re launching a developer challenge to see who can build the most innovative and useful SearchMonkey apps. There will be four category winners of $2,500 and one lucky Grand Prize winner who will receive $10,000. Talk about fame and fortune!
