Event Details:

Google will be on campus on Tuesday for a tech talk and info-session. Don't miss this great opportunity to learn more about the company, and hear a talk presented by a Google engineer. More information, including the topic for the tech talk will be made available soon.

Also, if you're interested in applying for a summer internship or full-time job, this is a great time to submit your resume in person.

To all incoming freshmen and transfer students: Welcome to UCLA! We hope your transition to your new school goes as smoothly as possible. To help you get to know your department, school, and new surroundings, ACM has put together a handy guide full of all types of great information for new students. The guide can be found in PDF format attached to this post.

If you have any questions about your new school or department, don’t hesitate to email any of the ACM Officers. We are more than glad to help you out!

On behalf of my fellow ACM officers, I'd like to welcome all of you to our newly revamped site that's going live today. Be sure to send us your comments and feedback. We can't promise to reply individually to everyone, but we're definitely listening!

Important: (Re)create your accounts!

Since there were several major changes made to the site under the hood, we need you to re-create your ACM account if you had one before. If you're new to UCLA or to ACM this year, please go ahead and create a new account for yourself as well. It only takes a minute, and you'll automatically be added to our membership roster and mailing list, so you'll always stay up-to-date.

Plans for the quarter:

We've got some great stuff planned this quarter, ranging from several industry info-sessions and tech talks to programming contests with big prizes, and lots more. Again, be sure to sign up for an account so that we can keep you informed via email. You don't want to miss anything!

Submit your resume:

If you're considering a full-time job or an internship next summer, Fall is the quarter when most of the recruiting happens. We're in constant contact with representatives from some of the top software companies, and we've made it even easier for you to submit your resume to us this year. Once you create your account, click the "resumedb" link in the main menu to find out more.
