SS12: Code for a Cause, Finals vs USC!!!

This past weekend, 36 UCLA students participated in SS12: Code for a Cause and created software to enhance the lives of disabled persons.

6 teams of UCLA students competed for prizes donated by the program’s sponsors: Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, Cisco, Amgen, Symmantec, Microsoft, Google, Blizzard, and Mozilla. Over the course of two days, students were able to create amazing open-source software. The winning projects included a binary input for the Gnome Caribou keyboard, a Currency Reader for Android phones, and a mobile Augmentive and Alternative Communication device. More information on the entire set of projects can be found here.

This Saturday, the top three teams from UCLA will be going head-to-head with the top three teams from USC. The final competition will take place on March 6th from 1pm~4pm in MS 5200. Come out and support your top coders from UCLA and check out the awesome projects from both schools!
