Software and Hardware Requirements
Programming for the Game Console Framework requires the Java 2 platform, Standard Edition (J2SE). It is also recommended that users install the Eclipse Platform distribution which is a nifty Integrated Development Environment useful for managing java projects. Review the Wrap up and Resources section for information on obtaining this software.
For minimal and optimal hardware and software requirements, check the System Requirements section of the distribution installation notes that correspond to your target operating environment.
If you wish to execute Java code in a Web browser, use the Java 2 plugin that corresponds to your browser software.
